Wicking in a Winter Wonderland: 5 Interior Trends Set To Sparkle This Season

Wicking in a Winter Wonderland: 5 Interior Trends Set To Sparkle This Season

Spooky season is well and truly upon us and that means Autumn is almost over (already!). So, it’s time to start thinking about packing away those pumpkins and to begin planning your 2023 winter collection. To give you a little head-start, we’ve outlined some of the top interior trends that are forecast to be the stars of the show this winter. Why not grab a mug of hot chocolate (go on, you deserve it), get cosy, and get inspired with us?

Slow Down

Slow-living is going to be a big trend for winter interiors this year, and we’re absolutely on board with it. Design-wise, this means organic materials, luxurious textures, aromatherapy and, overall, an emphasis on creating a spa-like oasis of calm in the home.

If you’re looking to hop on this simple but indulgent trend, we recommend pairing some of our handmade ceramic vessels, such as our Unglazed Jars  or White Ceramic Diffusers, with a luxurious, calming scent. We recommend our Wild Violet and Black Amber fragrance oil for a rich, relaxing winter scent to soothe the senses.

Down to Earth

Earthy colours such as tan, caramel and berry are emerging as essential hues for your home this winter. As you’ll see further on in this blog, interior designers are all about bringing the outside in this season, and these natural tones are a great way to do this. Opt for beige shades, like our GEO Jar in Cafe , to create a timeless, neutral foundation, and then layer natural pops of colour on top. Our Forest Green Frosted Jars are a favourite of ours for this and they’re simply sumptuous for winter.

You might remember that back in early autumn pale blues were also emerging as a popular addition to interior palettes, well they’ve stuck around for winter too! These cool shades are still red hot, and are a brilliant way to offset your Earth tones. We can’t get enough of our wintry fairytale Blue Swirl Globe Jars for this long-term trend.

Bring The Outside In

Biophilic interior design is another trend that has stood the test of time and is expected to carry over to winter 2023. This one is all about bringing the outside in so that, whatever the weather, we have an indoor sanctuary that fortifies our connection to nature. This means lots of indoor plants, natural colours, wood textures (check out our Wood Grain Vogues for this one), and an abundance of beautiful mood-boosting natural scents. We have a huge range of gorgeous winter fragrances, but for conjuring images of fresh winter walks and frosty mornings, our favourite has to be the Blue Spruce fragrance oil.

Shop Small

Artisan is the buzzword this season; interior designers are falling more and more in love with the concept of curating collections of artisanal pieces that are unique to the individual. This quickly brings soul and a strong sense of identity to a space, helping you to feel truly at home and allowing you to showcase your personal style. For example, you can begin by creating an eclectic mix of ceramics to draw the eye. Remember to mix shapes, heights and textures to amplify the effect.

If you’re not sure where to start, look no further than our Handthrown Ceramic Jars and pair with a favourite scent to help you relax and get cosy - we can’t resist the Roasted Chestnuts and Embers fragrance for our own living spaces at this time of year, we’re slightly obsessed.

Time to Shine

It wouldn’t be the Christmas season without a bit of glitz and glamour; metallic finishes are in for winter interiors this year. They help to create depth, draw the eye, and add some sparkle to your space. Go for gold with our show stopping Original Geo in Gold, keep it chromatic with our festive Christmas Silver Renne Jar, or simply choose any other metallic that fits in with your aesthetic and let it speak for itself!

So, there you have it! All the tips you need to ensure that your business stays on trend and that your new collection dazzles this winter. We hope that we’ve inspired you to create some beautiful new things and we wish you the best of luck with your business this holiday season!
