How to make a Large Candle Bowl

Materials You Will Need:

• Large Candle Bowl (colour of your choice)

• 1530g of a wax of your choice 

• 170g of fragrance oil of your choice 

• 4x wicks (LCS Turbo) 

• 4x Wick Stickum

• Wooden Wick Centring Devices

• Large Candle Bowl Wick Template 

Step 1: Prepare Your Bowl and Wicks

1. Wipe out your candle bowl to ensure it’s clean.

2. Download and print the free wick placement template from our website.

3. Place the template flat on your work surface, and carefully sit the bowl on top so the wick positions show through the glass.

Step 2: Add Your Wicks

1. Attach wick stickers to the base of all four LCS Turbo wicks.

2. Remove the backing and press each wick directly over the marked dots seen through the bottom of the bowl.

Step 3: Set Up the Wick Holders

1. Create two extended wick centring tools by taping together two wooden sticks.

2. Use the long tools to span the front and back of the bowl; then use two shorter tools for the sides.

3. Secure them with pegs if necessary to keep everything stable when pouring wax.

Step 4: Prepare and Pour Your Wax

1. Melt 1,530g of S100 wax to around 63°C.

2. Add 170g of fragrance oil and stir for 1–2 minutes until fully blended.

3. Slowly pour the mixture into the centre of the bowl to minimise bubbles and avoid sinkholes.

4. Leave about 1cm of space at the top of the bowl for a clean finish.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

1. Allow the candle to set undisturbed for 24 hours.

2. If the surface is uneven after setting, gently smooth it out with a heat gun.

3. Once fully cured, remove the wick holders and trim each wick to around 5mm.
