Perfumer’s alcohol is a diluting agent that thins out both essential and fragrance oils. It is specifically formulated for creating perfumes as well as room and linen sprays. Composed of alcohol denat, isopropyl myristate, and dipropylene glycol, this skin-friendly dilutant is an ideal component for perfume creation. The resulting mixture will stay clear and free from cloudiness.

This product is suitable for both hobbyists and seasoned home fragrance creators. We recommend incorporating 10-20% of fragrance oil for diffusers and 5-10% for room sprays. However, always refer to the product description and the IFRA certificate of your selected fragrance for the maximum usage guidelines.

In a reed diffuser, perfumer’s alcohol provides an excellent fragrance throw but can evaporate rapidly (1-2 weeks), particularly if fibre reeds are used. To slow down the rate of diffusion, consider using rattan reeds or adding some ‘vegan diffuser base’. If you opt for the latter method, you will need to purchase a ‘custom’ SDS.

Please note that perfumer’s alcohol has a very low flash point, which means flammable vapour can occur at room temperature. Ensure to use it in a well-ventilated area and keep it away from ignition sources.
